I will possibly be looking for a guardian home for my liver seal Kiona! She will be ready sometime in June or July after her training for BH! She has her CGC titles at this time, but will continue training and get her BH. She is a very sweet girl, raised with very small children, and will be perfect for any family and lifestyle! I would like her to be close to me within an hour or 2, so its easier for whelping when I will be getting her back for 9 weeks at a time, unless the guardian home wants to whelp litters. Obviously, this will be a female kept in my breeding program so the requirements below will need to be able to be followed.

I am also entertaining the idea of having Petra in a guardian home. She is our beautiful sable girl with a super fluffy thick coat. She needs to be in either a 1 dog household or a no dog household. Just because she is a very very submissive, bottom of the pack girl, and for that reason, other dogs in the pack will try to pick on her and be mean to her. She is super super sweet and friendly and loves to be loved. She does good riding in cars and going places, she’s very very sweet. She is a year old and will remain in my breeding program for the next 3 years. I prefer the guardian home to be somewhat close so that transport is not such a hassle when its time for breeding or whelping, and obviously you will need to be okay with her being gone for 9 weeks at a time, and during the few days for breeding time. For all info on what is expected, read below. Feel free to message me also.

PLEASE READ ALL THE EXPECTATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT BEING A GUARDIAN HOME FOR ONE OF MY DOGS!! I AM VERY PICKY, AND THEY WILL NOT GO TO JUST ANYONE! Each co-own and guardian home will differ per dog and will be discussed in private!
Expectations section- please note that this will change PER DOG. THIS WILL NOT BE THE SAME FOR EVERY DOG!. Some dogs are older and have already had the socialization and training required. Some are puppies and still need the training, etc. So this is just a general outlining of what is expected from the guardian homes. We will discuss in private what each individual dog needs and decide if you are the right home. Also note that at the end of the dogs breeding use in my program, YOU will be the new owner and they will live the rest of their lives in your home as your pet.
For female dog guardian homes- UNLESS the home is whelping the litters, the dog will be taken for 9-10 weeks at a time during whelping time! 1-2 weeks prior to whelping, and 8 weeks during puppy raising. The guardian home is allowed and highly recommended to visit their dog anytime they wish during this 10 week period! I require that the dog be socialized and used to other dogs and other people. I also require they get various titles from AKC, UKC, and/or SV. This is something that I will pay for as it is a breeding expense, so we will discuss this later together. I require the dog be kept on good quality food (we use Inukshuk Marine 25 and Professional 30) for all our dogs and puppies, but also highly recommend raw), and that she gets adequate exercise and attention. The dog can NEVER be overweight, underweight, unkempt (this includes trimming toenails!), or in poor health! The dog must be kept as a family member in the home, not kept locked up in a kennel or kept tied outside. You are required to keep dog up to date on all shots, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and vet care needed. I will take care of anything breeding related, which is the health tests, titles, and xrays, and taking the dog to its stud, etc. I will pay you $200 from each litter in gratitude for your time and care put into my dog. You also have the option to keep a puppy as a one time payment instead of the $200 each litter.
As for a male placed in a Guardian home: The outlining care and expectations are still the same – I take care of titles, health tests, xrays, etc. And if any travel is needed for use of stud, or to go to the vet for AI, I will cover those costs as well. He may spend a few days with me if needed during stud use if he is within distance where that’s more convenient for us.
Now for the rough part .. if anything preventable happens to this dog while in your care (like getting hit by a car, getting into rat poison and going into liver failure, and other preventable disasters) you will be responsible for the vet costs if the dog is able to be saved, and if it dies you will be responsible for replacing it with a dog of equal value. Just to make this part clearer… you are taking on a dog that is worth thousands. You get a highly valuable dog, fully health tested, with titles and perfection and all that… for free. You just have to make sure the dog is cared for properly and loved and treated like a family member. You are responsible for its well being and life. This dog will have thousands of dollars poured into it with care, titles, all the health tests, etc, to be used in my breeding program. So yes, if you are negligent and cause it to not be able to be used in my program anymore, you will 100% be expected to replace this dog.
