Here is yet another tough lesson on doing your research on the breeders and the stock you are getting your dogs from! Always always ask for actual proof to see with your own eyes, of xray scores and all health tests!!

And unless I’m missing something somewhere there are no hip and elbow testings on the mom and the dad has fair at 15 months and was not retested to see if it got any better so he could even be failing at this point and still being bred. This is why xrays and health tests are imperative. While the mom did not have hip and elbow x-rays, I was able to look up some siblings and found a direct sibling that had failed hips also to the mom. So I don’t know… kind of makes me really angry people are breeding like this. Shouldn’t even be selling breeding rights with dogs like this and honestly it’s my own fault because I should have done more research instead of just trusting that somebody that has been around for so long was actually doing the right thing.

I had lots of breeding stocks coming up, but most have failed health tests or xrays. So, my list is short right now, but this year (2025) I plan to keep quite a few pups back from breedings and get a couple more in from Margel German Shepherds cuz she has the best :). I will be keeping 3 back from Kookie’s breeding, the sable female carries blue, the male black and red carries blue, and the black and red female does not carry but that’s okay. I may keep one back from the Leelou/Chokolino pairing this spring, not sure if it will be male or female.
